KH: Gosh, you know, I'm so perfect that I'm scratching my head here, Shalvis. You telling me you have no regrets, Higgins? JS: Hey, it's called research, thank you very much. KH: I thought this was just how you meet men, Jill. Dear Reno Fire Department, I screwed up, and I'm sorry. Hey! I started this thing out by admitting I have regrets! So there you have it. Oh, you've heard this, have you? Well, you haven't heard this: I sort of knew I was walking out the wrong door and I sort of didn't care. I once accidentally opened the wrong door at a hotel and set off the fire alarm and sent the entire city's fire department racing toward the hotel. We all know I'm the queen of screwing things up. Also, I want to make sure yours are worse than mine. KH: Who doesn't have regrets? Stuff they need to make amends for? Anyone? Bueller? You go first, Jill. But it just so happens that Once in a Lifetime features a heroine, Aubrey, who's facing down past regrets and making amends. Not that they're feeling especially guilty today or anything, that I know of. Jill Shalvis, whose Once in a Lifetime is out today, and Kristan Higgins join HEA to share a few of their regrets.
